IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE OWN PLACE AT THE START OF THE BUSINESS?

No, it is not necessary to have your own place to run the Edukido classes. It is of course an interesting option, but it is quicker and easier to create an effective branch to run Edukido classes only in the kindergardens, schools, libraries or cafeterias at the beginning.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO INVEST IN ORDER TO START EDUKIDO BUSINESS?

The franchisee pays once for: license, sets of blocks, accessories necessary to run the classes and marketing materials. In addition, he must set up a business and, of most important invest his time. Besides this, franchisee need to include standard business costs (accounting, telephone and laptop, petrol, etc.)

AFTER WHAT PERIOD OF TIME THE RETURN ON INVESTMENT CAN BE EXPECTED?

Usually, it takes from 6-12 months for individual franchisee, 12-24 months for Master franchisee. A lot depends on the involvement of the franchisee in the initial period of the business.

IS THE INITIAL FEE A ONE-OFF PAYMENT AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO SPREAD IT OUT IN INSTALMENTS?

The initial fee is a one-off payment . In certain cases, it may be divided into instalments.

IN WHAT SIZE OF TOWNS IT IS PROFITABLE TO RUN EDUKIDO BUSINESS?

We recommend opening Edukido branch in towns with over 20,000 residents. The optimal size of such a city is 60-120 thousand residents. Very often, the best solution is to cover the entire municipalities or districts. There is also a possibility to extend the area of ​​operation after some time – the current Edukido franchisees are taking advantage of this solution very often.

DO I HAVE TO BUY LEGO BLOCKS ON MY OWN

The basic set of blocks package is bought from the franchisor. It consists of more than 10 thousand blocks, which are divided into separate sets for different scenarios. You can also buy blocks on your own, however our experience shows that getting a particular type of block is more effective when the franchisor is dealing with it.

HOW DOES THE TRAINING FOR THE FRANCHISEES LOOK LIKE?

The initial training is mandatory. It lasts 5 days and includes the following modules:
marketing, sales, customer service, people management, branch management, conducting Edukido classes.

DOES EVERY FRANCHISEE HAVE TO RUN THE CLASSES BY HIMSELF?

It’s not necessary. A franchisee can hire instructors right from the start. However, every franchisee must participate in the instructor training. It has a big impact on the quality of managing the team of instructors and running the Edukido franchise unit in general.

WHAT EDUCATION SHOULD THE EDUKIDO INSTRUCTOR HAVE?

The instructor should have a minimum secondary level education. There is no obligation to complete a specific course of studies. The instructor should be responsible and creative. Good work organisation is also very important. What is most important is that he or she should have a good general knowledge about the world and like working with children. In order to help in the selection of a suitable candidate, Edukido Polska provides a recruitment package which includes: a profile of the ideal instructor, a description of the interview or a task to be performed by the instructor during the interview.

WHAT HAS THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON ACHIEVING SUCCESS IN EDUKIDO?

The franchisee’s commitment is very important, especially in the first year of cooperation. The second important element is the people with whom we will cooperate, i.e. instructors and coordinators (in larger franchise units). Their proper recruitment, training and running are the basis of good customer service. But the most important thing is to conduct classes and the whole franchise unit in accordance with the standards of our company – this element has the most significant impact on the success of Edukido business.

I DID NOT HAVE TO OWN MY PLACE AT THE START

Before, when I used to have a fashion shop, I did not achieve as much as I achieved in Edukido at the beginning. First of all, I did not have to own my place. There is no need to hire employees right away, although I did it and I’m happy with it. Basically, you buy a licence for the size of the area you choose, set of Lego blocks, accessories for classes and ready to use marketing materials. You get access to scripts to conduct the classes with children, business support systems and folders and files containing all know-how policy. Everything is preceded by a 5-day training. And you can start doing your business. As simple as that.
Compared to other businesses, or at least the ones I was interested in, you do not need a lot of funds to invest in this business at the beginning. This sector and work with children is really very grateful. I’m making money, but I’m also pursuing a higher goal. Great job satisfaction, good money. Edukido is a great people and a great atmosphere.
